SETTING BOUNDARIES IN COZIA
August 30, 2022Touristic Center and discovering Valcea
August 30, 2022On 13 and 14 July, we met our young friends. What we mean by our young friends is the children, for sure. This group consisted of kids aged 6-14. They were fourteen and somehow we became the kids and they transformed into grown men and women.
As we mentioned in our previous newsletter, we must make them contribute and have a dedication for nature and ecology. For us, it matters a lot. With this idea, our project coordinator Catalin Soare and our activity responsible Mihai Rogojinaru decided to make an offer for children who are studying at summer school in trust of their responsible librarian. Beginning on Tuesday, we met together by our office and started our activities, that we had previously organized. Activities began with an energizer. This energizer game was about getting to know each other.
We made a circle with children and introduced ourselves to them with our names and countries. Afterwards, we demanded them to tell theirs and ours with special gestures. Then, we played our team-building games and surprisingly they performed each and every one of them very successfully, even better than us. On Wednesday, our meeting with youngsters continued. This time we made things a little bit harder for them because we were pretty sure about they would do it again anyway. We began with the “Name Game” again in order to know if they could remember us correctly and of course they did. We divided them into groups and asked them to work together as a team. We gave them tasks to fulfill. After having a lot of fun, we made a speech about our project and what we do in Romania as volunteers. They paid seriously attention and gave us ideas about upcoming workshop events. We spent two hours with kids through two days. The intelligence of these kids impressed us. They were ready to learn new things and open for new knowledge and ideas.
