As part of our outdoor activities, and taking advantage of the good weather, we took part in reforestation activities. We went to Ocolul Silvic Fiscalia, Valcea county. There we met the engineer who is in charge of the replantation work. He explained us the work they are doing and how they do it.

In this place, they are growing different types of plants and trees: from ornamental plants for parks and gardens to different species of trees for reforestation efforts in Valcea County.

During the week we was At Ocolul Silvic Babeni where we discuss with the engineers about forests, replantations, types of trees from the region etc.

After the discussions, we were given instructions about how to help on the plantations. We spent four different days helping with different tasks: cleaning wild grass, installing guide poles so trees grow straight and healthy and so on.

It was an interesting activity as the whole group worked together and had a lot of fun despite the hard work. We didn’t have the chance to go planting the trees on the field, but we would really like to do it in the future.
