On the 29^th of July, we’ve been invited to Ocnele Mari’s Salt Mine for attending the National Anthem Day events.

First of all, we will start by brief description for salt mine. The salt mine is 8 km away from Ramnicu Valcea (OUR HOSTING CITY). As soon we arrived, we’ve been astonished by the beauty and the geological stratification of mine. Those white and black line were like a mosaic! Surprisingly, the inside temperature of the mine was estimated to be from 13 to 15 °C with a rate of humidity measured to be 50%. Ocnele Mari used to be one of the biggest industries. However, since 2009 this Romanian huge salt mine became one of the best touristic features in that area.

NATIONAL ANTHEM DAY, is Big event in Romania. Thus, TV reporters, political features, university teachers, local choir and dance performers were present. In fact, at the Salt Mine event we saw a lot of talking about Romanian big revolution before 1989 and the former president Nicolae Ceaușescu.

Our team was introduced to one of the local TV channels in Romania and we had a short interview. Then we left the mine with a great impression and appreciation..!
