The main idea of the theatrical performance was to show how rural areas turn into tourist or commercial areas, interested only in the material aspect and forgetting about the environmental aspect and its importance in our life. The audience enjoyed the performance a lot and the idea was conveyed in an excellent manner. We do not forget to mention the importance of the environment and its preservation, and that its importance is no less than the importance of the financial aspect.

As for the aspect of preparing for this show, as we needed to formulate the idea in an initial way, we found some mistakes in the ideas, so we reformulated them, and when the idea was completed, we began to distribute the roles. The last stage, which is performance training, was the most difficult because we had no experience in theatrical performance, but after a number of attempts, our performance became excellent, in the end we were able to present a show that made the audience happy.

In Forum Theatre method, after the play finished the Joker talked with the public and together they have a debate about what they saw in the play and they will try to find possible solution/s of the problem. So, our collegue Jaime, the Joker, had a discussion about the importance of protecting the forests, trees logging, deforestration and planting trees with the audience about the ideas of the performance. The audience asked many questions and they were very interested.

The name of the performane was “The Lord of the Woods”, took place in November, at Colegiul de Silvicultura si Protectia Mediului – Rm. Valcea.
